ELCOS is a part of Bangor University's College of Arts & Humanities and has been running both academic & general English language courses since 1985.
ELCOS provides English language, Pre-sessional and in-sessional programmes and study skills for international students.

The centre provides a full range of classes and support for overseas students including degree course modules, an individual Writing Advice Service, classes for spouses, Undergraduate Pre-sessional, Postgraduate Pre-sessional courses and various summer programmes.

Bangor is situated on the coast in North Wales, about 2 hours from Manchester Airport and 4 hours from London. The location of the University is one of the most beautiful in Great Britain. There is a lovely coastline, and Bangor is near to the Snowdonia National Park with its very fine mountain scenery. The area is peaceful and unspoilt and is an ideal place to study English.
